影片以 1999 年西南边境为背景，聚焦森林公安的热血使命，讲述了森林公安刘钊（王天野 饰）、老赵（景岗山 饰）、王磊（任恺 饰）三人，在一次常规巡山中，意外撞破境外日本间谍头目昂山・介德（三浦研一 饰）带领的境外团伙 窃取我国NSSU血清提取样本机密，暴力劫狱潜逃后，妄图翻越大亮山穿越国境线。从平静巡山到直面穷凶极恶的匪徒，三名森林公安义无反顾开启阻击战，用血肉之躯筑起国境线上的钢铁防线，与身负窃密、贩毒、谋杀多重罪行的犯罪团伙展开一场生死博弈的硬核警匪大战！

　　曾经的约翰（卢克·威尔逊 Luke Wilson 饰）是一名风光无限的商人，偌大的豪宅，漂亮的妻子，可爱的女儿，当金融危机爆发之时，约翰所拥有的这令人羡慕的一切都在转瞬间成为了巨大的负担，他和妻子之间原本美满的感情也产生了裂痕。　　经历了糟糕的一天后，约翰拖着疲惫的身躯回到家，这时，一个名叫里奇（塞缪尔·杰克逊 Samuel L. Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
