With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　2020年，在香港首次发现稳定虫洞，人们可以通过稳定虫洞回到历史上的时间节点，为了防止有人通过虫洞回到历史并破坏历史，时空管理局应运而生。 时空管理局担负着校正历史、让历史按着既定轨道运行的使命。然而时空守卫队队长左石，却突然率领五名部下，携带着超出时代进程的枪支武器，闯入虫洞，回到了历史中的秦阳城，意图以颠覆历史要挟时管局在48小时内关闭虫洞。 为了挽救历史，女探员景彤临危受命与前守卫队队长秦朗，带领新组建的守卫队，配备青铜武器回到历史之中，阻止左石一行。
